What have Trains, Football Stadiums & the BOLT got in Common?

Outside sponsorship has been hard to come by in recent years so it is always great to see companies getting involved with windsurfing. Last Autumn our Swedish team rider Markus Rydberg was approached by Gothia Financial Group who wanted to run an advertising campaign and feature windsurfing because of its extreme action sports image. The campaign was run in a Swedish lifestyle magazine XPRESS (which is provided onboard trains and at station platforms) as well as on screen at some national football (soccer) matches. It is great to see that so many non windsurfers were exposed to our wonderful sport.

The images was taken at Markus' favorite sport Åsa (by kulingvarning.nu) and featured the four batten BOLT. We are looking forward to seeing Markus back in Maui in the Spring.

A magazine you'll read in 20 minutes.

"Xpress is Arlanda Express' on-board magazine, which you will find on both the platforms and in the pockets in front of you while seated on the train. It is an urban magazine, mixing high- and low brow, with a clear focus on Stockholm as a cultural and entertainment hot spot. Famous Stockholmers tells the reader about their own personal favorites, the city's profiles are interrogated and Xpress city guide makes a relevant selection among the many events and exhibitions around the city - each month.
Of course, Xpress also contains relevant information for the passengers to and from Arlanda airport, Stockholm maps and Arlanda Express' timetables." Source

Markus here in Cornwall UK during the BWA wave event, he plans to return to the UK to complete alongside his UK team mates.

Back at home in Sweden, Markus loves to jump!
